Our stay at the peaceful River House was absolutely wonderful. We were amazed by the stunning Gin Suite, with its spacious living area and beautiful decor. The high ceilings added an extra touch of elegance. The exclusive use of the lovely pool made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were warm, friendly, and extremely attentive, ensuring that we had a fantastic experience. The food, especially the evening meals, was delicious. The River House is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and luxurious stay.
Although the beach was beautiful, we came across some large rocks in the water, making it suitable only for experienced swimmers.

We loved our stay at this hotel with its stunning location in the middle of nature where we could hear only the sound of animals. The Sri Lankan staff were excellent providing the best hospitality with great cleanliness, tasty breakfast, and wonderful facilities such as a beautiful pool and transportation service. The location down the river made it a unique and unforgettable experience.
Nothing, all great.

We stayed in a hotel surrounded by nature and quiet beaches on the beach with a beautiful view of the Madu river. Our room was spacious, with amenities, and a comfortable bathroom. We appreciated the excellent service provided by the friendly staff, especially when breakfast was delivered to our balcony overlooking the river.
The food was rather expensive compared to the other aspects of the hotel.

Nestled between the river and beach, the hotel had a great location. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, offering both Western and local cuisine. The pool area was lovely, surrounded by trees and a variety of birdlife to enjoy.
Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem, and the wine list could use some improvement. The power went out one night and the staff didn't do anything until we called.

Great weekend! the location was fantastic, with lovely views and plenty of nature around. the food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the luxury room facilities and the comfortable furniture.
There were a few issues. the pool area, although nice, needs some maintenance.

Our vacay at The River House was lit! The staff was so cool and made us feel like VIPs. They hooked us up with mad delicious food and even went off-menu. The views were dope - imagine doing yoga by the river or in the lush gardens. And yo, the boat trips on the Madhu River were the bomb! We were living our best life for real!
Okay, if I had to find something for us party animals, it would be the lack of a lit party scene. Like, they should totally have a sick club or something.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel exuded luxury and sophistication. Our exclusive room boasted a private pool and stunning river views. the restaurant served delicious Sri Lankan dishes and the bar/lounge area had a fantastic ambience. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby temples and cinnamon forests. the staff were attentive and fulfilled all our exclusive needs, including a couples massage and private boat tour.
The only minor issue we encountered was some noise from neighboring rooms.
